PT Family Support Specialist

Description:

LivingLinks is looking for (2) Family Support Specialist's to assist adult and children with life skills and community involvement.
 
Qualifications: Prefer one year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Must have a flexible schedule, high energy level, good oral and written communication skills, patience, assertiveness, a valid driver's license and good driving record.

Duties include: One-to-one direct care, documentation, community outings, and working on goals.
 
Wage: $8.48-9.50/hour based on education and work experience.
 
Hours include: Need someone from 3:15p-6:15p, M, Th & F, for one position and M-F 2p-4p for second position. Hours may vary always depending on needs of the client.

Direct Support Professional position at Pierce

Description:

 
Assist three individuals with life skills, communication skills, and community integration.
 Pay ranges from $8.48 - $9.50/hr based on experience and education.
Every other weekend and every other holiday are required for all positions.

PT Direct Support Professional position at South

Description:

Assist eight clients with developmental disabilities with life skills, communication skills, and community integration. Job duties include: documentation of client's goals and procedures, medication administration, cooking, cleaning, attending mandatory training each month, helping clients with personal hygiene, bringing the clients to and from work maintaining client confidentiality, and supporting them when they do different activities of interest in the community.
There are currently three positions available.
 
Pay ranges from $8.48 - $9.50/hr based on experience and education.
 
Every other weekend and Holiday required.
 
Hours include: 6:30-9:30am and  2-9:30pm M-F. Staff are able  to pick up additional hours if their schedule permits.

Important note:
If you are called for an interview, you will need to bring a copy of your driving record from the state that issued your driver's license. We will not conduct an interview without a driving record. Minnesota driving records can be obtained at the Minnesota Department of Transportation Building at 2161 Bassett Drive in Mankato. The fee for the record is $9.00, which may be subject to change at their discretion. We will not reimburse you for the cost of the driving record.

LivingLinks' insurance company will not allow disqualified driver to transport people we serve. Transportation is an essential job function of nearly all positions at LivingLinks. Examples of disqualification include (in the past 5 years):

  • DUI/DWI
  • 4 or more speeding tickets, and/or tickets for speeds above 10 mph over the posted speed limit.
  • Driving without a license/driving after revocation.
  • Vehicular bodily injury/vehicular homicide (also a disqualification by the Department of Human Services)
